LG LHT854 5.1 Upconverting DVD Home Theater System
Features

5.1-channel home theater: The LG LHT854 not only features a DVD player with 1080p upconversion, but also an AM/FM tuner, iPod connectivity, and the ability to connect other USB devices with the USB Media Plus. With 5 surrounding speakers, each at 155 Watts, and a subwoofer at 225, you’ll feel as if you’re right in the middle of the action.

Dolby Pro Logic II and XTS Pro: The sound decoding on the LHT854 includes Dolby Pro Logic II, Dolby Digital 5.1, Dolby Digital 2 Channel Down Mix, DRC (Dynamic Range Control), VSM (Virtual Sound Matrix), and XTS Pro (eXtreme True Sound Pro). In short, this diverse range of sound decoding ensures that you cover all your audio bases: whether from the true 5.1 surround sound of Dolby Digital, or creating a 5.1 experience out of a 2-channel DVD source with Dolby Pro Logic II.

iPod connectivity and USB Media Host: The LHT854 allows you to connect your iPod through a rear input, so you can enjoy your digital music beyond a set of earbud headphones. You can also plug your USB-compatible portable digital device directly into the LFD790 to enjoy music, photos and video clips through your home theater system.

1080p upconversion: When connected to an HDTV via HDMI connection, the DVD player digitally “up-converts” the resolution of standard DVDs to 1080p high definition for super-sharp images.

Multi-format playback: Watch video downloaded from the Internet in the DivX format or enjoy a wide variety of other formats, including DVD-/+R, DVD-/+RW, CD-R/RW, MP3, WMA, and MPEG4.

LG Simplink: With LG’s proprietary technology, you can control all of your HDMI devices with the push of one button, completely integrating your home theater.
